In this collection, repetition is not merely a process of reproduction, but a dynamic and conscious experience; it is a continuous return to familiar forms, yet with a fresh perspective. Each image is a window for rediscovering meaning. Repetition in my works is a profound dialogue with memory, emotion, and the unconscious.
In the portraits I’ve created, the face is neither for identification nor recognition. This face is a body blended with dense layers of color that reflect the emotions I have accumulated. The repeated brushstrokes have freed me from the constraints of conventional forms and have led me to a form of expression that is pure and honest—where the face becomes a vessel for narrating what has been revisited within me: memories, doubts, and connections. Simple objects like flowers, necklaces, or plates in these images are not just decorative; they carry feelings that have come to life within the context of repetition.
In the vase collection, the play of repetition is calmer but deeper. The form of the vases is similar, yet the colors, compositions, and flowers change. These subtle differences embody for me moments that, although seemingly repetitive, are unique in their depth. I view these vases as moments in life: unpretentious, yet full of meaning. I have painted them repeatedly, not out of habit, but to rediscover beauty in the most familiar objects.
Repetition, for me, is an endless search to see again, to feel again, and to live again. Each return is an opportunity for deeper reflection and recognition of what I might not have noticed the first time. This collection is the result of these returns—returns in which forms, colors, and even I myself, are reborn in a new way.
In repetition, there is no stagnation; instead, there is depth, clarity, and moments of pure creation. This collection is a tribute to the magnificence of repetition itself.
